CentiPIed: Centipede Arcade Restoration and Raspberry Pi Conversion
Audio and Atari
The audio components are all on the power motherboard for these old machines. Previously, I had already modified the cabinet with a potentiometer to turn the volume down since it was RIDICULOUSLY loud - at least it is in a quiet house compared to a noisy arcade. It was a simple matter of connecting the audio output of the Raspberry Pi's 3.5mm jack to the audio input lines. There are two main connectors to the arcade motherboard, one for all the video stuff, the other for audio and power. I figured out which pins on the audio connector were for audio, and connected to those.
